400 – Highly specialised work stream visa

This visa caters to individual who have a highly specialised skill to work in Australia for a short period.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Your skill level must be classified within 1–3 occupation in the Australia & New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) or you possess highly technical skills and knowledge from an international company whereby you are required to install imported equipment after sales or conduct emergency repairs.
You have the intention to be in Australia for the short-term and the work is not on-going.
Your skills, knowledge and experience will be able to assist an Australian business and that skill set of yours can not be reasonably found in the Australian market.
You must have access to sufficient funds to financially support yourself during your stay in Australia.
You must be outside of Australia when making the application and upon grant.
You must meet the health and character requirements.
You must have health insurance during your stay in Australia.
