Subclass 407

This visa caters to individuals who would like to stay in Australia for a short period to undertake occupational training and professional development in Australia or for the purposes of registration or for capacity building overseas. The training permits individuals to enhance their skills for their occupation. This is 3 staged process. Sponsorship application, nomination application and visa application.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

You must be at least 18 years old.
You must have functional English.
You must have the required skills, experience, qualifications required to undertake the specified nominated occupational training.
You must have the genuine intention to stay temporarily in Australia for the purposes of the training.
You must have sufficient funds to financially support yourself during your stay in Australia.
You must have health insurance for the period of your stay.
You must meet the health and character criteria.
You must be sponsored by an approved sponsor.
You must not undertake work that is outside of your training.
The training must consist of 70% practical on-the-job training.
