    Investor visas

    Our Investor business migration visas are for investors who want to gain residence in New Zealand.

    If you are looking to invest in your New Zealand lifestyle, our investor visas may be a good option for you and your family. There are two investor categories:

    • Investor 1 (minimum investment NZ$10 million for at least three years) and
    • Investor 2 (minimum investment NZ$3 million for at least four years).

    Investor 1 Resident Visa

    With this visa you can

    • Live, work and study in New Zealand.
    • Include your partner, and dependent children aged 24 and under, in your visa application.

    Things to note

    • You may be able to bring your car, boat and household items to New Zealand, free of customs charges.

    Investor 2 Visa

    • We use a points-based system to assess eligibility for Investor 2 Resident Visas.
    • If your expression of interest is selected and we invite you to apply for residence, you'll have 4 months to send us your application.
