Subclass 132 – Business Talent Visa (Permanent)

This visa caters to people who have successful experience in running a business to operate a new or existing business in Australia or who have capital funding from a member of the Australian Investment Council and are business entrepreneurs. There are two streams in this visa which are Significant Business History Stream and Venture Capital Entrepreneur stream.

Significant Business History Stream

You must have an overall successful business career.
You must have a personal net value of at least AUD1.5 million which has been acquired lawfully.
Your annual business must be turning over at least AUD3 million for at least 2 of the 4 fiscal years immediately before you have applied for this visa.
Your total net assets must be at least AUD400,000 to which you have ownership or at least 10% of the total issued capital in the listed company.
You must be under 55 years of age.
You must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government.
You must be invited by the Department to apply.
You will be able to work and study in Australia permanently.
You will be able to enrol in Australia’s public health care scheme such as Medicare.
You will be able to sponsor your eligible relatives to come to Australia.
You may be eligible to apply for Australian Citizenship.

Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream

You must have secured funding of at least AUD1 million from an Australian Venture Capital Firm for a high value business idea.
The venture capital firm must be a member of AVCAL (Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Limited).
You must be nominated by an Australian State or Territory.
You must have entered into a formal agreement with the Venture Capital Firm.
You will be able to work and study in Australia permanently.
You will be able to enrol in Australia’s public health care scheme such as obtain Medicare.
You will be able to sponsor your eligible relatives to come to Australia.
You may be eligible to apply for Australian Citizenship.
